Mendas - Chartered Psychologists

Mendas is offering 10 organisations the opportunity to take part in our FREE Candidate Experience Survey.

What is a Candidate Experience Survey?

The Candidate Experience Survey is designed to gather the views and opinions of the applicants who have applied for your graduate scheme (and summer internships, placements etc.)- both those that have been successful in gaining employment within your organisation and those that haven't.

Why should we do a Candidate Experience Survey?

Reputation is a key component to the success of any organisation, not only for its customers/clients, but also staff (or potential staff).

Many organisations invest heavily in ensuring that their employees have positive opinions about the firm, to ensure they are each individual ambassadors for that organisation.

However, for every employee who joins your organisation, a large number are unsuccessful during assessment or choose to go elsewhere, especially at graduate level. These individuals can be just as important, if not more, than those who actually work in your organisation - when they talk about your organisation to others, they will not be assumed to have a hidden agenda, or just praising the company they work for and are affiliated to.

To help you tap into this group of individuals, Mendas have designed the Candidate Experience Survey.

What will this survey involve exactly?

Applicants receive an email invitation to complete an online survey giving them the opportunity to feedback about the selection process.

The majority of applicants will complete the survey within the first few days of the link being sent to them, so you can collate the results very quickly.

The survey can be tailored to your needs. If there is something specific you want to find out, or an issue you are trying to overcome, that is not included in the survey at present, we can ensure that it is covered and explored.

What information will we gain from the survey?

  1. You can identify where you are exceeding/not meeting the expectations of the candidates (be that about speed of process, content of particular parts of the process, or implementation thereof).

  2. You will learn more about what the applicants are looking for, and understand why candidates withdraw their applications, or turn down offers.

How can we use the data collected in practice?

  1. You can use this data to make amendments to your process to improve the efficiency of the way the process is delivered by your organisation.

  2. You can ensure as many applicants as possible are going away with a positive impression of you as an organisation to tell their friends and other contacts about.

  3. You can use the information gathered to inform your marketing strategy.

  4. The data will provide you with concrete evidence to help resolve any resourcing issues you may be facing.
