Occupational psychology is the only professional group to have a minimum of 6 years training on understanding how organisations function, how individuals and groups behave at work and how to maximise their effectiveness. As practising psychologists we are also required to be registered as members with the British Psychological Society and as such are bound by the provisions laid out in its Code of Conduct.
70% of companies interviewed, that used occupational psychology services, found benefits in the form of effective recruitment and 60% thought it increased productivity (2006 research report by Department of Occupational Psychology and the Centre for Applied Research at Oxford Brookes University).
