It goes without saying that having the right individuals in the right jobs is a key determinant of organisational success. Understanding the precise nature of the job or role is a first step towards getting this fit right.
For this reason, we place a great deal of emphasis on undertaking some form of role analysis, formally or otherwise, to gain an in-depth understanding of what successful job performance looks like. We identify the objectives that need to be met and the tasks that must be undertaken by the job-holder.
We also investigate the competencies and biographical indicators that are the most reliable predictors of effective performance in a role.
Reflecting the different nature of job roles, we employ a number of role analysis techniques to gain the understanding we are looking for.
