Care UK had recently experienced a lot of organizational change and there was a need to ensure the right behaviours were embedded into the organization.
What's the different between recruitment and assessment? Recruitment is the process of simply making a hiring decision, whereas assessment is the considered judgement about a person which might include whether or not they have the skills required for a particular job. In this one-day course you will work with one of our team of experienced assessors who will explain the value of making considered, objective and reasoned assessments about a person. Whilst the course has mainly designed to help those undertaking assessments for selection purposes, we argue that the skills you will learn (being aware of our natural human biases, attending to all of the evidence you have in front of you and knowing the right questions to ask) could be usefully applied in a variety of different contexts. But this course isn't just about listening to the experts, we have designed a series of activities to help you practise and develop your skills as an assessor so that you leave the course with confidence in your own ability to make informed, justifiable selection decisions.
We know that assessment processes vary greatly from organisation to organisation so we'd like to tailor the course to reflect your own process. This might mean incorporating one of your existing assessments into the practical sessions or referencing a case study which reflects some of the challenges unique to your assessment needs. Give one of our team a call to find out how we can create a programme which will deliver the most value for your team or organisation.
